Cigars of the Pharaoh


This book comes from the series called the adventures of Tintin. You have probably heard of the book called Tintin in America in the last post, this book is the book after Tintin in America. In the book, Tintin is traveling around the world on a ship. On the ship, a man with a tall black hat was chasing a piece of paper which he called a papyrus and was yelling stop, stop, help, help, help. Tintin saw what was happening and started to chase after the piece of paper too. Tintin was an inch away from the paper but he bumped into a fat man and the piece of paper went overboard. He noticed that the man with the tall black hat was gone, he started looking for that man and found him in a canoe that was attached to the ship which was not in the water. He asked the man with the tall black hat what he was doing, the man said that he was rowing. Tintin told the man that he wasn't in the water. The man with the tall black hat said that he didn't know why he was rowing. Tintin asked if he was rowing to get his papyrus which flew in the water. Nonsense, said the man, my papyrus is here, and he pulled out another piece of paper. The man explained that he just remembered that the other piece of paper was just an travel brochure. Then the man told Tintin that the papyrus was the key to the lost tomb of the Pharaoh, Tintin decided to help him and they planed to meet at Port Said in Egypt. At Port Said, they both met and set of in the dessert. When the arrived, they started to look with the help of the papyrus. They then finally found the tomb. Snowy, Tintins dog started barking, Tintin hurried over, Snowy had found a Cigar that had a symbol that Tintin saw on the papyrus. When Tintin and snowy came back to the tomb were they left the man, the man was gone. They both looked around the tomb. In a short time, a little circular door way opened and they went in. Inside the tomb, it was very big, there were lots of mummies with labels infront of their tomb. Tintin soon found two emty tombs that was labeled Tintin, and the other, Snowy dog. Tintin then found a box of cigars like the one he found outside. At that moment, smoke filled the air and they both fell unconsious. They were put in tombs and send out to sea. And there is still more action.
